I wondered what others would make of the cat examples. I tried to clarify to some degree where I was going with them but deliberately left it for a while in hopes that each would consider the examples on their own – within the context of their experiences and within their understanding of the words (language). I assume the context of this blog was not lost on most so that must have also limited the meanings to be had. I imagine some thought the cat was meant to represent women, or racial differences, or social structures, or choice or interconnections/dependence… you know, they are but one of countless favours and should mean whatever it was meant to mean for you.
