Did not We grant you a life long enough for him who reflected to reflect therein? (Surah Fatir: 37)
By the declining day, (1) Lo! man is a state of loss (Surah Al-Asr: 1-2)
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet said, “There are two blessings which many people lose: (They are) health and free time for doing good.” (Sahih Bukhari)
Ibn ‘Abbas said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “There are two blessings which deceive many people: health and free time.” (al-Bukhari)
Time management is crucial; especially when the nafs is out of control. Insha’Allah, it is time for much needed self-discipline. Insha’Allah it is time to shut out as much external noise as possible. Insha’Allah, it is time to focus on all that is important – devoting valuable time (especially when blessed with youth and health as well) on those activities that earn His pleasure, investing time so that we can have a return in the akhira.
What we do with out time now, will determine where we stand at the Day of Judgment.
With this, insha’Allah we will reflect and amend our ways before it is too late.
Peace and du’aas for the ummah.
