-اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِيْ وَارْ حَمْنِيْ وَ عَافِنِيْ وَارْزُقْنِيْ
Allaahummagh-fir lii war-hamnii wa ‘aafinii war-zuqnii. (Tariq al-Ashja’i. Sahih Muslim #4897)
O Allah, forgive my sins, have mercy on me, give me health and safety, and provide me with sustenance.
Ameen
This du’aa teaches us that seeking forgiveness for our sins invites Allah’s mercy, which in turn assures both protection and provisions. As other ahadith remind us, anyone looking for a way out of his or her difficulties should engage in istighfaar (seeking forgiveness from Allah) profusely.
